January 2022

"Careers Insight: Non-Clinical Roles"- 24th January 14:00-15:00

Are you unsure how your degree could be linked to a job in the NHS? Did you know there are over 500,000 non-clinical staff working within the NHS. If you are doing a non-clinical degree and would like to know more about jobs available for you, come to this session.

“Next Step: NHS”- 24th + 25th January 10:00-12:00

If you are a student or graduate, come along to our interactive sessions where you can find out about roles in the NHS, NHS values, the application process and interview techniques. To attend the sessions, please make sure you are available for the whole length of time of the session and both dates.

"Careers Insight: Corporate Healthcare"- 28th January 12:00-13:00

The NHS is the 5th largest employer in the world. 1.5 million people work for the NHS and many of these are in corporate roles supporting the running of essential services. If you are interested in working or the NHS but would not like to work in a clinical role then this session will give you all the information you need.

February 2022:

"Applying for a role in the NHS 14th February 14:00-14:45"

The NHS is a large organisation and the application process can sometimes be daunting. Come along to this session to hear our application and interview top tips as well as how to do the job search.

If you are a student or graduate, come along to our interactive sessions where you can find out about roles in the NHS, NHS values, the application process and interview techniques. “Mock Interviews”- 18th February and 4th March

We are hosting 2 mock interviews days – if you would like to practice your interview techniques with professionals in health and social care, please register for one of these dates and we will be back in contact with more information.

"Careers Insight: Social Care"- 23rd February 12:00-13:00

If you would like to find out more about a career in Health and Social care then this session is for you. This workshop will cover the vast range of roles available and how our "Step into Care" Program can help support your application into a role within the sector

March 2022:

"Careers Insight: Nursing"- 7th March 17:00-18:00

Are you familiar with the different types of nursing? Or the different pathways you can choose to become a nurse? Come along to this event to learn about the nursing opportunities available in the NHS.

"Careers Insight: Estates and Facilities"- 9th March 16:00-17:00

Estates and facilities staff look after NHS buildings and the grounds around them so they are a safe and pleasant environment for our staff and patients. They also make sure that goods and patients are where they need to be so care is received at the right time and the right place. Come to this session to hear about the range of careers available.

"Careers Insight: Technology in Healthcare - 25th March 14:00-15:00"

Greater Manchester is a centre of exciting innovation and developments within science and technology within the NHS. In this session we will hear form some of our staff who are leading the way within technology, using interesting pieces of technology to help treat and support those who are accessing the NHS. This session is therefore ideal for anyone interested in STEM and/or healthcare
