What do they do?

Jeans main role is to support children with play activities whilst they are in hospital; her duties include attending the daily ward round, preparing activities and encouraging children to take part. Other duties for Jean include changing the wards décor with the seasons, making the ward atmosphere friendly, cleaning the toys each day and liaising with other departments to develop the play service

What’s the best thing about their role?

Jean feels that the best thing about her role is interacting with families and making their experience whilst in hospital a happier one! Jean feels she has a voice on the unit and acknowledges she can make a difference to improve care on the PANDA unit

What is the best thing about working for SRFT?

Jean loves working at SRFT and appreciates that her team is great and help to provide lots of training opportunities to support career progression
