Noreen is an Administrator and Training Support Assistant working within the Organisational Development department of the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
Noreen began her career with the NHS with an apprenticeship in business and administration. Upon completion of her apprenticeship Noreen was successful in gaining a permanent position as an Administrator, achieving a further Btec National Diploma in Business and Administration. Noreen has since progressed into her current role of Administrator and Training Support Assistant
Every day is different for Noreen, prioritising her own work load to ensure that weekly tasks are completed. One of Noreen’s main responsibilities is to deal with the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) process, receiving and handling applications from staff within the trust to complete qualifications relevant to their job role. Noreen also handles lots of telephone calls and emails in regards to training as part of her role and uses excellent customer service skills to deal the enquiries she receives. There is a lot of paperwork involved in Noreen’s role including completing purchase orders and devising and updating spread sheets as well as well as taking minutes (notes) at regular meetings that take place
Noreen feels the best part of her job is meeting new people all the time & helping & supporting staff within the Trust with their training needs, it really does give her a lot of job satisfaction
Noreen is really happy in her current role and is hoping to complete a further qualification business and administration to support her in her career progression with the NHS
