I started my career in Health and Social Care as a Support Worker then progressed to Senior Support Worker, Support Coordinator, Team Leader, Unit Business Manager and then Registered Manager
I progressed by gaining experience and skills and taking opportunities to develop which I can now apply to my current role of Regional Manager
I visit the services we provide to ensure they are performing well, supervise managers, and attend various meetings such as MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team), Safeguarding, HR and training
I have had excellent and unwavering support, including creating new roles to support development and financial support. There are regular formal and structured supervision and appraisals and I have fantastic access to training and opportunities to learn and develop
Best is that I work alongside great people every day and my own values align perfectly with those of the organisation. Worst is that sometimes I work with people who don’t share those same values which can be frustrating
I’d like to continue to progress to more senior roles and eventually start my own provider
