Giving learners the opportunity to meet NHS professionals

Events are taking place throughout the year where you can learn about careers in the NHS and talk to NHS staff and other professionals about the jobs they do. Northern Care Alliance – Nursing & Midwifery Careers Fair

When: 09/05/2018

Where: AJ Bell Stadium, 1 Stadium Way, Salford, M30 7EY

What: Join us at our Nursing and Midwifery Careers Fair on Wednesday 9th May 2018 at AJ Bell Stadium for our largest event ever! This is the first time Pennine Acute Hospitals’ and Salford Royals’, Nursing & Midwifery teams will join together under one roof, speaking about their passions, job vacancies and what opportunities await you! The event will be split into two sessions: AM Session: 09.30am-12.30pm & PM Session: 13.30pm-17.00pm You can attend either sessions, or both if you wish! We are looking for Nurses and Midwives at all stages of their careers (student, newly qualified & experienced) to join our team of over 7,000 outstanding healthcare professionals. This exciting opportunity will enable you to not only talk to our Nurses & Midwives about their dynamic, incredible careers but be interviewed on the day! On 09th May, we will also have key figures speaking about the latest healthcare movements, their career histories, the big achievements of our care organisations and why they want to invest in people like you! Recruiting Safely and Fairly: One day training session

When: 30/11/2018 - 10:00-16:30

Where: Freshfields, One New Bailey, Salford, M3 5JL

What: A free one-day course on safer recruitment, aimed at HR professionals in Greater Manchester with responsibility for recruitment, retention and equality and diversity matters, as well as those responsible for safeguarding and in-houselegal counsel. This interactive course Delivered by Freshfields legal officers, will cover the main aspects of recruiting safely and fairly, with particular focus on dealing with criminal record disclosure or allegation information and conducting risk assessments on applicants or existing staff who have criminal records.
